Christians with a creative spark!
So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
--Genesis 1:27

I believe that one of the ways we bear God’s image is in our ability to imagine and create things of beauty. The purpose of this community is fellowship in that creative image.
It’s a community for all Christians who want to share and discuss our creative talents (artwork, crafts, photography, music, poetry, novels, theatre, cooking, or anything else creative!). And it’s a place where we can share and discuss other art and artists (such as Christian musicians and movies). Finally, it’s a place for getting to know other Christians who share your creative interests. Thus I ask each person who joins to make an intro post about his or her self. If you like, you can use this Creativeness meme to do so.

I would like to make this a very open and varied community, but I do have a few rules:

1. I ask that you join this community only if you consider yourself a Christian with creative talents and/or an interest in creative arts. However, your posts need not be limited to art with a Christian theme. My goal is to create a Christian setting based on the members of the community, rather than each post.

2. You are welcome to debate issues related to the arts here. But all debate not related to the arts or media should be done at another community such as Christianity.

3. If you are going to include multiple images in your post, please put them behind a livejournal-cut. Please keep this community family friendly! Nudity in artwork is allowed as long as it’s tasteful, but please put all such artwork behind a cut, and include a warning to the reader that your post has nudity.

4. Constructive criticism of posted work is welcome here, but please be respectful of others—that means no put-downs for the sake of putting down! If you are having a crabby day, please take it out on someone else, such as a pinata.

That’s about it. If you have any questions just let me know. Otherwise, go forth and create! :D
